Introducing our Free Wildflower Love Nursery Art.
So our new house has been built now and we’ve lately begun to landscape our very bare section. I must admit, I had very little botanical knowledge before we began this fun exercise. I found myself combing Pinterest and gardening websites for hours and hours to make sure I was choosing the right plants for the right places. I’m not particularly green-fingered, I over-water and under-prune when I put in any effort at all but thank goodness my husband has more flair. I’m good at nurturing my boys so I’ll stick to that.
I am however loving doing our landscape design and SHOPPING for all the plants we select. We are having beautiful Japanese Cherry Trees flanking our long driveway, boxed hedging in front of the verandah, perennials and wildflowers on our sloping banks, a huge orchard which we have already planted (Yay for spray-free fruit every year) and anything else we care to plant in between. We have beautiful garden centres in New Zealand and it is fun to try new ones in the area for bargains. We have our own septic system and a large dripper line field to the left of our house. I plan to plant it as a ‘wildflower meadow’. I have been collecting different varieties of seeds which I will sow come Spring. Speaking of Spring, we had the ‘shortest day’ this week so the days are only going to get longer from here on. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather.
So even though I don’t have a daughter of my own, I love designing nursery art fit for a little girl’s room. Here is my latest freebie print; a heart full of wildflowers combined with one of my favourite retro fonts. I hope you love it and it should look great in a nice frame. You can chose from 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 inch size.
I decided to trial the design with a cobalt blue/ indigo background and was glad I did as it really makes the tiny pretty little wildflowers pop don’t you think?
And just to get you as obsessed with wildflowers as I am, here are some beautiful photos I found.

If you think you can handle even more beauty, here is a wildflower meadow I want to galavant through on a warm Spring morning.
