Over the last few years it has been with great enjoyment that I have undertaken bespoke business branding work for artisan companies around the world. Their passion for their respective handcrafted products inspires me and I feel privileged to be able to assist them on their creative journey. My job is to understand what makes your business special and design engaging branding that represents who you are and what you’re about.
I thought today I would share one of my favourites. A very talented soap maker, Shelly from Lion and Rose in Oregon asked me to create a logo, business cards, market stall banner and product labels that would represent her beautiful soaps. She is passionate about soap and handcrafts everything from carefully sourced and wholesome ingredients. She wanted pops of red and robin egg blue, with a vintage, yet modern vibe. I developed this graphically and created bold typographic branding that alludes to a historic craft, very relevant to today.
Lion and Rose sell a lot of their products through local Farmer’s Markets in Beaverton, thus they needed a strong brand presence to make their stall eye catching and attractive. I designed the soap labels pictured here as well as the stall banner below.

I love that Shelly makes 100% natural deodorants in multiple different scents. Her soaps are handcrafted with the traditional cold process method, using only the highest quality ingredients. There is such a ground swell demand for ethically made, natural hygiene products without all the nasties present in commercial brands. I know, as a mum of two little boys, I only want the best for their skin. Check out Lion and Rose’s Shop, the colour combinations make you want to eat them!
